Tri Cities Snow Storm Causing An Ice Dam

In early 2019 Tri Cities WA experienced heavy snow causing many homes to have ice dam issues like this home in Richland, WA.

Ice dams are caused by snow melting and refreezing; expanding and contracting which pushes up the shingles on the roof letting moisture get in. That is why it is important to knock down any icicles hanging from the roof.
